| In 1965, Johann Werfring registered the excavation trade at 7223 Sieggraben, the present corporate seat of the company. It was due entirely to the tireless work and commitment of the founder, supported by his wife Elisabeth, that all the orders placed at the time could be dealt with. |

In 1969, Johann Werfring further registered the transport trade. By 1975, the fleet had been extended and now comprised 5 dipper shovels, 4 tri-axles, 6 trucks with trailers and one street cleaning machine. |
The construction of a company washing bay, a workshop for trucks and garages became necessary and was completed in 1976.
In 1975, a tilting silo was acquired, and, at the same time, the company became involved in the international transport business.
n 1980, the fleet was extended to 12 silos, 6 ballast wagons and 7 dipper shovels. In addition to various other tasks, Mr. Werfring assumed responsibility for the management of the workshop and the maintenance of the fleet, and took charge of the driving personnel.
Mrs. Werfring was responsible for planning the deployment of our fleet, customer relations and administration.
In 1983, Mr. Werfring terminated the excavation business and intensified the transport business. In the following years, more and more silos were bought.
In 1985, their son Johann Werfring and his wife Anna Werfring joined the company, which was managed exclusively by members of the family.
In 1990, the Werfring business was transformed into Transporte Werfring Ges.m.b.H, with its corporate seat in Sieggraben. Johann Werfring Jun. and Johann Werfring Sr. were appointed managing directors.
In 1993, a transport enterprise was set up in Györ, namely Silotransporte Werfring Ges.m.b.H/Ungarn, with 6 silo tankers.
In 1993, the company Silotransporte Werfring Ges.m.b.H, at 7223 Sieggraben, was established with an additional establishment at 2323 Schwechat/Mannswörth, subsequently also referred to as the €œlogistics centre€.
In 1994, the company Transporte-Hölzl was acquired and incorporated into Transporte Werfring Ges.m.b.H.

In 1997, the entire Werfring group, which had by then grown into a family business with more than 120 employees, was certified in accordance with ISO 9001.
In 2000, a flare system and a nitrogen generator were installed at the Schwechat/Mannswörth location for the cleaning and subsequent inerting of gas tanks.
| From 2001 to 2002, the Sieggraben plant was converted and restored. The work included the renovation of the office premises, the addition of another workshop and the redesigning of the outside facilities. |
Since the completion of the plant in Schwechat/Mannswörth, the fleet has been continuously enlarged and renewed. At present our fleet comprises 70 silo tankers, 10 food tankers and one ballast wagon.
In 2004 the Werfring group was certified in Cefic - SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System).
In 2005 a new office was built. This was necessary because Borealis built a new facility site.
In 2007 Transporte Werfring GmbH was Haulier of the year of Borealis with a percentage of over 95 % of the criteria.
